Most plausible path to this happening would start with these reforms being put in place at the local level. |

The Federalists collapsed and briefly there was one party rule in the USA, which lasted for less than a decade before a new party emerged. Same with the Whigs collapsing - the GOP appeared in just a few years and won the POTUSy in their first five years.
Perhaps demographic change will kill the GOP, but something else will replace it. |
