Anyone get canker sores in their mouth?

Without fail these turn into a fucking sore as hell canker sore within 2 days or the injury. The peak pain is about a week after injury, with constant burning, causing head and neck aches, swollen face, etc, depending on the extent. Takes almost 2 weeks from injury to go away completely.
If I just bite the corner of a lip eating, its usually bearable, but when I get popped in the face playing bball, the sore can be huge and agonizing. I've been dealing with this for 30 years.
Last Tuesday I got hit in the face setting a pick, BECAUSE i was trying NOT to be an asshole and hit the guy with my forehead. I set the pick and leaned back and without fail, the back of the guys head smacked me right in the face, flaying my lower lip.
I was pissed as fuck because I knew this would result in two weeks of agony and because it was a big ass cut, it would be really bad.
Gf ended up buying me with all natural hokey shit called canker-rid - which is made from the asshole of honey bees apparently. She bought it because unlike ambesol, ora-gel and various other OTC shit that doesn't work, or simply numbs the pain for 5 minutes, this shit had 700 amazon reviews and 99% of them were 5 stars.
I got it the next day before a sore had developped and started using it immediately, together with some non SLS toothpaste I also bought from amazon.
The stuff is weird - its a liquid and comes from a dropper and tastes like honey mixed with camphor and alcohol. It looks like iodine. It stains you lips, teeth and hands.
But the shit works. Almost immediately it covers the area with a thin coating that sticks to your the skin and covers the wound. Unlike the other shit, the coating seems to stay put for 6-7 hours, even with eating and drinking. And the pain stops instantly and completely.
It's now 6 days since my injury and 5 days from application and the wound is completely healed, and this was a bad bad wound (for a lip cut). I applied this shit 3 times a day (as opposed to 20 times a day when I used oragel) and i had no pain at all more or less the entire time. A tiny canker sore developped in the deepest wound area, but did not spread and it was gone in 3 days. Barely hurt.
I am not one to promote bullshit all natural homepathic horseshit - but this is fiber level life changing for me. I strongly advise anyone who deal with this shit to buy some of this shit and give it a try. |

Just do rinse with warm salt water (multiple times a day) It hurts a lot at first, then gradually pain lessens.
Might buy some of that stuff before next nacho binge eating sesh |

basically i think your mouth is inflamed from not eating/sleepy well so it's eaisier for it to get cut/harder for it to heal |

I have had good diets and bad diets. Sometimes when I am stressed or sick I will get a sore without biting myself.
But if I have an open wound in my lip it has 100% turned into a sore taking at least a week or more to heal - since I can remember 30 years ago. Until now.

Stuff stings like a motherfucker going on, but does form a good barrier over the sore that is more effective and longer lasting than numbing agents. Most important for me, the uniform coat seems to promote healing. The worst cut healed in 4 days with the bee asshole, because the sore did not form which prevents healing.
When I have a full on killer sore it takes 2 weeks to heal and is agonizing for 10 of those days. |
