Then I make up a story about what he told me the first time he met the bride and that I knew right then and there this was a different girl and he was really in love. Then I talk about how when I first met her I instantly knew she was right for him and how wonderful they are together and how truly in love they are. And that someday I hope everyone there can find this kind of love, me included. And then I give them a toast. The entire thing is memorized and I keep it between 8-10 minutes.
People usually cry and the 3 times I went single, I ended up banging bridesmaids. |

Conclude with some sappy "I'm so glad you found each other, it's been amazing to see your love grow over the years, I wish you the best, etc" stuff and then a toast
My last one I did 100% off the cuff with no pre planning, and people complimented me the entire night on it (although I wasn't totally happy with my performance) - got lots of " you are obviously a litigator lol" stuff |
