being able to handle healthy introspection relies on knowing the difference between CONTEMPLATION and RUMINATION. hth.
rumination: negative emotionality, compulsive, defensive, flows from an anal-retentive, detail-obsessed type of mental state.
contemplation: positive emotionality, relaxed, open-minded, accepting, doesn't need to reach any sort of "conclusion", takes things as they come, sees the world as being full of things for you to pick up rather than full of things for you not to drop.
