Growing firm of 9 attorneys, operating in Thailand with offices in Bangkok and Phuket, is seeking a licensed attorney to work as a legal consultant, primarily from our Phuket office.

We are a relatively new firm, established in early 2013, comprised of lawyers (both foreign and Thai) who have been advising myriad International and Thai clients for many years. Due to the number of clients we service, we have an opportunity available for a new, or fairly new, licensed attorney with 0-2 years experience to join our firm in 2016 on a full-time basis.

Our Specialty Practices Include:

1. Real Estate

2. Hospitality

3. Business Law and Commercial Transactions

4. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

5. Construction

6. Marine

Candidates Should Possess the Following Desirable Qualifications:

1. Licensed before a Bar in the US; UK; Canada; Germany; or Australia;

2. Willingness to relocate to Thailand for the full-time position;

3. Willingness to learn a foreign legal system and legal/business culture from experienced professionals;

4. Strong work ethic; attention to detail; interest in one or more of the above firm specialties and the related law;

5. Willingness to vet and review legal documents that have been translated into English from various foreign languages;

6. Interest not only in legal work, but also in the business development of a growing international law firm;

7. Willingness to network, both socially and professionally, in order to build your professional profile in Asia;

8. One or more past experiences abroad (either through an internship, extensive travel, or study abroad program or the equivalent); and

9. Interest in working in the South East Asia Region and looking to commit to working here for at least the next few years.

We fully realize this is not an opportunity for all new legal professionals, and that in fact the opportunity is largely an alternative career route. However, we believe the right candidate will find the work both professionally challenging and rewarding.

We also won't mislead anyone by saying the position is easy, when it is, in fact, quite challenging. Patience will be required, and we are willing to assist in training the right person.

The good news is we don't work 70 hours a week (we average about 45-50) and the candidate appointed would have the opportunity to live and work in one of Asia's most exciting countries with an up and coming firm.

Interested candidates please send a full resume, cover letter, at least 2 personal and/or professional references and a statement on your interest in working in Asia and past international experiences.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. The position is primarily based in Phuket, with some travel to Bangkok and other South East Asian locations from time to time;

2. Appointment would commence in 2016;

3. Salary is based on Thai market for foreign legal consultants, with bonus opportunities potentially available;

4. Relocation Required, this is not an expatriate position for a limited term;

5. Must be a licensed or qualified attorney-at-law; and

6. Position involves substantial client interaction.
