FRCP 34(b)(2)(C) is good stuff.

"An objection must state whether any responsive materials are being withheld on the basis of that objection."

I've always hated the object-and-answer-anyway process that left you unsure what exactly the answer meant.

Kinda fun to just write "Objection: Overly broad and encompassing privileged information" or some total bullshit like that and then not even mention if there are responsive documents. REALLY pisses off opposing counsel.

Even when ppl respond "none" its always "subject to the objections" so you can't be sure what that none means. It's absurd

It's more complicated than that. The first letters are an anagram, which many believe to be associated with the Bohemian Grove.

Filed a response to a motion to compel today and relied on the new discovery rule. Still doesn't provide any clear cut answers and will just lead to lots of reframed bellyaching.

Not perfect, but better than before.

The proportionality stuff in Rule 26 makes sense, but which federal judge wasn't already doing that?

Service time was cut from 120 days to 90. Should be more like 30 or 45. It's usually just plaintiffs fucking around and playing games after that. If you're really having trouble serving a defendant, you can always get an extension.

I appreciate the concern, but I haven't had too many cases where that's a problem.

You think 90 days is about right?
