I don't think the Top 250 has changed much at all since it started, other than newer movies appearing on it.

The Bottom 100 has changed more, for the worse.

All the emphasis on wired internet connectons and pay phones dates it. Why can't they enter and exit the matrix via a wireless phone? What is the deal with having to find a landline?

I assume that the exit and entry has to be hardwired to the system. Any phones they carry with them (and remember they did have cell phones) were materialized when they ported in.

I assume they could port via a cell phone if they stole one from someone, but then how do you know where that phone is in the grid?

Predator as well. The streamlined storyline allows it to avoid being dated as it didn't really on date specific gadgets or social concepts. It was simply badass motherfuckers fighting an ultrabeast in the jungle. That is timeless.

Also greatest line " if it bleeds, we can kill it."

Maybe it is just me growing up, but I remember watching it as as a young kid and being somewhat uneasy about Rambo as a character.

When I watched it again recently for the first time in 15+ years, the movie took on an entirely new complexion. I found myself simmering with rage.

Cr. I watched First Blood long time ago and it seemed like a fake two-dimensional fairy-tale. Why would not this "Rambo" just get a chill 9-5 job, a house, a wife and be happy?

All the Mike Meyers comedies seem to have aged pretty badly - Austin Powers, Waynes World, etc. Not sure why.

All of those movies that showed crazy looked bold green letters flying across the screen when the system was being compromised look ridiculous now.

They also used to show people "hacking" by rapidly typing kids and then seconds later stunning visuals pop up on the screen.

Actually I think its aged pretty well.

The storyline of the Matrix means it doesn't matter that the simulated world is now looking a little aged because the simulation could be of any time.

yes the Matrix world was purposely set as 1999 NYC b/c that was supposed to be the pinnacle of human civilization so the humans who were inside would be happiest and not question their existence

and, tbh, 1999 probably was the pinnacle of human civilization
