Trying to mentor juniors and correct their work when you yourself could care less about the work. In my current role, I assign work to around a dozen people and fix their shit so a boomer partner can make his 1.5M a year. What a joke.

"could care less about the work."

Please. "Could not care less."

This is not being used "ironically," as the apologists like to claim.

Be more careful in the future.

Of course they often make mistakes and I get blamed for anything that goes wrong.

I enjoy being a reviewer. Catching first year fuck ups is easy and I can do it while zoning out. I can do first year work in my sleep so it's nice to have a task that is not demanding.

The problem with Nine to five mid long is that there are not often clients that will pay for both some Junior to do work and fuck it up and for me to review it and correct everything.

A lot of the work I do is fixed fee so it's a nightmare when I have to go four or five rounds with a junior. Then the partner with the client cuts both our time and replaces it with his own even though he never looked at the matter.
