Their strategy is to basically go through dozens of mechanics until they find one they like, then ultimately piss him off and the process starts anew.

I was told this by the most senior mechanic there (there's only 3-4). Everyone hates him and he walks around always cursing and when he's working on things all you hear is "fucking bitch" "FUCK" "God FUCKING damn it" etc. I think he's a good dude though, let me use some of his tools while he was gone.
