Watching this movie with my kids, and it's amazing how much progressive propaganda they're throwing at my kids.
Spoiler Alert
The premise of the movie is that a rabbit wants to be a cop, but that's not what rabbits do. But it doesn't matter--she's empowered and she will succeed! Through an affirmative action program (I shit you not) she becomes a member of the police force.
At one point in time she's about to get fired and would have been fired. But her protected status saves her.
She uncovers a diabolical plot where 90% of the population (animals that are typically prey) is trying to frame the other 10% of population (predators) as being all bad. But in the end, with the help of our affirmative action rabbit, we come to realize that not all predators are bad and that we shouldn't stereotype minorities. Instead, we should welcome them with open arms because "we have a lot in common with them."
Incredible
Sincerely,
An actual concerned dad

thats one take. on the other hand it acknowledges straight up that different groups -are- in fact different, and that stereotypes, even the hurtful ones, aren't necessarily pulled out of thin air and may have some basis in biological reality.
its not like they had the rabbit doing implausible things for a rabbit, like beating large animals in combat. the rabbit benefited from weird circumstances where her weaknesses became temporary strengths (running through the gerbil town). and she did so with the help of a sly street-wise fox who was a fraud hustler that played her like a fool because she was a gullible lib in the first act.
its an okay film

the movie is at pains the entire time to explain away the predatory instinct, first as depicting a racemixed zootopia as not only possible but aspirational, and then portraying the predators as naturally kind but for pernicious social conditioning.
eventually the movie confronts the literal term 'biology', and explicitly denies it, explaining the predatory instinct as a power-mad sheep (i.e., white person) arranging social circumstances (shooting berry juice) to disempower the predator class (blacks, muds) and keep other prey classes (whites) afraid of the predator class to retain political power.
the rabbit DID beat large animals in combat. more than once. remember the police training montage?

i guess it depends if you read the sheep as a stand in for a white person. i remember in the first act the sheep doing some "us tiny bullshit grass eaters have to stick together" solidarity thing with the rabbit which if anything made me think of them as both women.
either way i still don't see how the movie ever challenges the notion that biology was being "overcome" in zootopia in the first place, which of course means there was something to overcome in the first place. i think this is a perfectly reasonable lesson. certainly not max libbery at all.
i don't remember the police training montage specifically, but i think she totally blows at first and "gets better" by (implied) trying much harder than everybody else (positive lesson about merit and effort). but i'm sure there was some garbage in that part of the film now that i think about it
edit:
the post down below just reminded me of the sloth scene. how is this not a straight up acknowledgement that differences are real and a legitimate and acceptable basis for observation, commentary, and humor? it isn't as if the sloths were actually working at a NORMAL PACE and simply being unfairly judged by prejudice observers. they were legitimately slow as shit (stupid) and that's fine. they were all safely put in one place where they could all work at their own speed, and this was optimal from a social perspective. zootopia seems almost singaporean

Of course she finished top of her class--that's the fiction of the whole thing.
If it was based on reality, statistics tell us what would have likely happened. She would have failed in the academy and:
a) Got pushed through anyways
b) Sued the academy for not being easy enough for her
c) or flamed out
Let's be clear, I'm not saying she couldn't become the valedictorian and be successful. But we have enough research about the effects of affirmative action (especially when it comes relatively late in a person's life) and other diversity programs, and we know that person's chances of success after receiving some assistance are pretty low.

the lib principle being advanced is more aggressive than ever b4
it is ACKNOWLEDGED that predators (nigs) have a greater BIOLOGICAL propensity for violence. this is a PREMISE of the movie INDEPENDENT of the movie's plot in which certain specific predator-characters are poisoned to the point of turning "savage".
WITH THIS BACKGROUND, the movie still proselytizes that both predators and prey have evolved and should live together in harmony. even as different groups of animals live segregated in different ecosystems in the title capital city
