it's more that B1G schools are considered "prestigious" while still being easy as fuck to get in to. tons of jews from california too good for somewhere like ucsb (and get rejected anyway, it's harder than OOS michigan/wisconsin at this point) and end up going to michigan. |

I'm surprised UT austin isn't on the list. It isn't like some of the top ranked schools (e.g. UChicago) don't have their fair share of ugly modern buildings, and UT has a very nice looking core. plus it has a library shaped like texas
