Has legalization of weed led to degeneracy in Denver?
What circumstances would you divorce?

On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being good, and 1 being bad), how good or bad was biglaw? What about in house?
Knowing what you know now, would you go to law school again?

Level setting on scale: 1 is a coal miner working for shit pay in the sweltering summer heat, 10 is a CEO/pro sports player/POTUS/etc.
Biglaw: 3-4. In-house: 7 or so.
Explanation: biglaw has days when it is a 2 because you hate your life, are working every waking hour (which sometimes is every hour, because you're pulling an all-nighter), are being yelled at by crazies who think a stray comma is basically a war crime. It is never a 1 because realistically, you get paid a decent amount and are working in a climate controlled office. There are also times when it is a 5-6, but rarely gets above that because if you do get some nice down time you instantly start worrying about billables and shit.
In-house is solid. You don't pull all nighters ever. There is much more job security, and ultimately you're always at least solid middle management or better in the company. And if you get into a subject matter area where the work is done internally and actually high value then it'll be fulfilling as well (otherwise, prepare to be depressed as you endlessly churn form customer/vendor agreements). The downside is that a) there's still a ton of politics, b) if you're ambitious there's kind of a nagging concern about whether this is really going anywhere good, while c) you're still dealing with the BS of American corporate culture (which, is still 1000x better than biglaw).
Law school? Back when I went (T14 on a scholarship) it was so much cheaper and jobs were better and I ended up ok. So if I had to do it over again sure. Would I go today if I were in college? Probably not.
