When the woman is at or around 30, she might fall of the hot radar because she's potentially transitioning into a new role. As the sexy 20-something transitions into MILF, naturally, she can no longer execute as well as either of those categories because she's in transition--learning the ways of the hot late 30s woman.

So when you look at a woman in her mid 30s, some might not see her as attractive because she hasn't completed her metamorphosis.

There are also two other cases we see regularly. There's the case of the women who don't want to make the transition. They'll pretend to be hot 20 somethings well into their 40s. A very small number of women can pull this off. But more often than not this strategy fails miserably and you're left with a 40yo with bleached blonde hair and skin that looks like a raisin.

The other case is a happier one. The woman who never nailed her 20s well. Maybe she was always a little heavy or just never found a way to make herself sexy. Like a fine wine, as she goes into her mid-to-late thirties she embraces that little bit of extra weight (often times manifesting itself as an ample bosom) and ends up being that mom that the teenage boys masturbate to when they think of banging a mom who would make their first time fun. Her lack of sex appeal earlier in life is precisely what makes her attractive now--she's comfortable in her MILF skin.

As a total aside, time really flies by. I can remember being a high school (or maybe it was college) kid watching American Pie and thinking about that MILF. Not too long, and I will be married to one.

I'm not saying that I don't find her biologically attractive. Obviously my penis/testosterone is telling me that I would want to have sex with her. And if I weren't married, it wasn't illegal, and the girl propositioned me, I'd lock her in a room and not come out for a day or two. But she still has that too young look to her (that's part of the biological appeal). She's objectively less attractive than a 25 yo woman who's got it going on.
