A young Black Girl tried to steal my phone (Story)

At a stop light a young black girl asks to borrow my phone so she can call her ride. I smell bullshit but at a loss for words I hand the phone over. She proceeds to dial some number and starts arguing with the person on the other end to pick her up, she then starts walking away from me. I calmly walk up besides her and snatch it out of her hand. Astonished she yells "I was on the phone" I don’t even respond and just leave. Was I being a beta?
