But I told him they should get a cheap 1 bed room or move in with our parents. He doesn't want to move with parents because they live in a rural area.

What you could do if you want to help is offer to pay his rent for 6 months (assuming he can rent something that's not government housing given his situation). Don't just write him a check for $10k up front, but pay the rent. That way, it will seem less like mooching to him.
You mentioned above that his wife is a cunt, so don't let her move in. Set some boundaries and stick with it. Letting her move in could do more long-term damage than not. I'm with you on this. |
