No, no, no.
Those VAST SWATHS of moderate Republicans are the most rabid anti-Trumpers that you will ever meet. Most moderate Republicans are "business Republicans" - UMC, the only middle income people they know personally are those who chose a less remunerative career that requires a masters (art, certain types of teaching, nonprofits), socially liberal but not SJW, work hard, make good $$$, don't want to get taxed.
They find Trump's lack of polish as well as the "scrappiness" of the more vocal elements of his base to be actively off-putting. They could put up with the values voters and Christian coalition because these people didn't rule the party.
Or, they're women / minorities (or even minority women) and find many aspects of Trump's flirtation with the alt-right to be absolutely reprehensible.
They have absolutely zero in common with the people described here: https://thetruth24.net/2016/09/27/the-best-debate-takes-come-from-inside-the-bar/
They were in the tank for Jeb, then Rubio, then Kasich; and now they're in the tank for Johnson (if they have the luxury of being able to cast a protest vote) or even Clinton (if they are in a swing state).

I disagreed with this part of your poast: "You know how vast swaths of moderates can't decide whether to vote Trump (because they hate Hillary) or Hillary"
I was saying that pretty much all of the moderates I know are vociferously anti-Trump.
Otherwise, yah, we agree.

in the words of Reagan, "there you go again." you constantly use dumb historical analogies.
2012: Obama was an incumbent POTUS, first black POTUS, recovering economy, generally well liked.
2016: 8 years of Obama, 70% of Americans think we're on the wrong track, lousy economy, Hillary is a dreadful candidate, millennials and minorities are not pumped up about her.
GOP nominee should be leading decisively, but retards picked Trump.

He would be attacked as elite, out of touch, failure, Mormon, racist, in pocket of big donors, citizens United, bush, something would be dug up from his past, he would make a slight misstatement and media wld pwn him into apologizing spending hour after hour postulating abt his missteps, and Hillary would win by 3 points
