Bro of mine got the number of shares wrong in some agreement and the partner never forgave him for it. Said to me privately "I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him." This was what essentially amounted to a rounding error, but one of the clients flipped out about it and blew up the email chain.
Dude was gradually weaned off deals. 60 hours down to 40, to 20 to several weeks of 0. Then he got fired.
