1) Republicans cut embassy security spending because, well fuck Obama and a grand bargain.

2) Obama authorized CIA outpoast under guise of "embassy/consulate" in Benghazi.

3) Outpoast is necessary to run guns to "rebels" instead of putting boots on ground or just staying the fuck out of it.

4) Can't put boots on ground because of GOP Iraq invasion shit show.

5) GOP Iraq invasion shit show made worse by DEM withdrawl shit show.

6) Can't stay the fuck out because dumb ass electorate loves fucking hawks.

7) Can't go to help because of previous disasters like black hawk down and the political fall out.

8) Try to tie attack to some stupid video because Obama doesn't want to admit terrorist attack pre-election.

9) GOP investigates (despite knowing truth) solely and admittedly for political purposes.

Everyone is just acting in a political manner instead of best interest of country.

the main problem with Benghazi is that the ambassador was allowed to go there. the CIA annex was safer, but of course there would always be risks

the overarching problem, though, is that we helped instigate the goddamn conflict there, and now ISIS is doing the backstroke in the embassy swimming pool

at this point our "country" is mostly run by a bunch of squabbling factions backed by a handful of major donors and "players" such as corporations. expecting something like a sensible policy crafted with the nation's interests in mind is terribly naive.
