older EE guys have been complaining about this for a while. it's fundamentally a niche field, and even though it requires a lot of training and work, the number of EE guys actually required by companies is limited enough to where salaries are still suppressed.

if you can't establish your own firm, you can expect to get dicked around by employers.

LJL no, I don't know anyone who graduated with a biomed BS or MS degree who is actually employed designing biomed shit. All the people actually doing biomedical are MDs with a BS in ME or EE.
