idk what about a suit that sez the citizenship clause---("All persons born or naturalized in the United States[ ] ... are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside")---is purely _retrospective_? That is, it refers to persons then living, not ne1 born in the US going forward.

Would make sense as an historical matter.

To at least stop future anchor babies, Congress needs to pass something similar to this proposed bill introduced in 2015:

Pro-immigration groups would challenge it under US v. Wong Kim Ark, and SCOTUS (with Trump's new appointment) could re-examine the case and find that it shouldn't be extended to children of illegal immigrants.

That's a start at least. But the Constitution needs to be amended to do away with birthright citizenship entirely.
