No one really lives there. Snowbirds rent there for half the year. West of 41 is pretty swank, but it's not Miami (read: mostly uninspired and overpriced cuisine and a Sperry's store on the main drag). Lots of Hispanics east of 41.
There's a Ritz-Carlton there that's one of the best in the Ritz portfolio, and lots of people with more money than creativity have their daughters married there.
