if you're paying $3500 per month for a mortgage for a fifty year old 3 bedroom with a leaky roof in California and had to save up $200K for the downpayment, it's impossible. if you're paying $900 per month for a 2500 sq. ft. 4 bedroom new construction in Texas that you put $20K down on, no problem.
same for healthcare: if you are paying out of pocket $1500 per month for your health insurance for your family of 4, it's impossible. if your employer is picking up the tab, no problem.
those are the two big expense categories that determine pretty much the entire financial picture. |
