Every song stands on its own

Can play in it's entirety

Equally cr for workouts, casual listening, intercourse, deep study, so much mileage on this thing

This is the album Kanye wishes he could produce, ages so well

I would say it's pretty much the same group just different name and darker more abstract

Like Silent Shout with less pop overtones and further down the rabbit hole

The album with black and white cover is a funhouse ride

Also a 9-10/10 album

Yeah it's the same chick but without the other dude I think. Every time I listen to it I'm just hypnotized but none of the songs are hooky or catchy in any form. A really strange record.

I hear you

It transcends creepy minor chord progressions and turns into something melodic somehow imo

It's one of those albums that I liked enough to put in my car & so it belongs to a particular time and place for me.

That was the best barometer, how long a CD would stay in the car

I think silent shout, aja and illmatic were in the longest

Kinda sad how that phenomenon doesn't exactly exist anymore due to the proliferation of smartphones/bluetooth & card decks that can read discs with data files on them (rather than regular audio CDs)

I've got a burned CD with about 10 albums on it that I probably haven't swapped out in like two years

I was dating this sort of artsy girl for a while in 2015. Shredded tights, coke, angst, liked to be choked, hair died black, that sort of thing. I'd fuck her in my shitty Hell's Kitchen apartment with this on repeat, sometimes smoking cigs inside mid session. Nicole. Still have fond memories of that crazy cunt. After I had come inside her many times she told me she wasn't on birth control and had fucked 50+ guys. Half Mexican half greek. I miss nyc.
