I used to be an nba mo bc of the lakers and i still follow the team but man the warriors are ruining it for me.
MLB has the greatest gap between level of national coverage and regional loyalty.
Its the most localized sport in the US- no one can follow 162 games of their team AND the entire league.

I went to a game a few seasons ago vs the defending champion spurs (who sat their starters) and it was so hideously boring I told myself I was done with the league. But I wish it was better.

There are just so many transplants in the PNW, and many don't stay long, so locals just avoid them. Its easier to relate to people who grew up around here |

Transfers were so rare there were like 10 total every year so it was easy to include them withinbour groups and everyone had to live on campus for 2 years whereas here im just a random 25 yo senior transfer.
The weather certainly doesnt help I hate like investing my time and energy into meeting new people so its easy for me to fall into this |
