Oh, I definitely agree. I just think it's extremely unlikely to occur.
Mt. Gox occurred in a time when people didn't really give a shit about information security. Now it's generally taken pretty seriously. 2FA is everywhere, as is Google Authenticator.

So am I.
Although I did receive an email from the authy app saying Coinbase has had a ton of hackers spoofing numbers to bypass the 2FA, so the app disabled multiple device support for everybody as a precaution. You could turn it on again by going into the options.
