titcr, I forced myself like 1.5 hours in and it was torture. Whatever "it" is, they didn't get it right.

Super Metroid KIND OF had that problem, where you run into a dead end and are like "fuck this noise," but it was so much more well-designed that it kept you interested.

What's your point, I was much more tolerant of bad games back then since it was IMPOSSIBLE to get rides anywhere and impossible to get laid or socialise without wanting to killself.

Oh, I was talking about Prime and was assuming you were a 1L or something.

As recently as a few years ago, the GBA Metroid games plus replaying some of the Mega Man games held my interest.

you seem like me in taht you (used to) love video games but not as much anymore and when you buy them you see them sitting there in the plastic wrappinga dn no longer have any desire to play them and jsut give them back. is this game different from others in that if i buy and start playing ill stay hooked?

I'm "picky" like you are and thought that every Zelda game after Ocarina was a chore to some extent and BOTW hooked me.

It's basically the only Zelda that's in keeping with the spirit of the original... walking around, exploring, randomly finding stuff. The name makes you think it'll be about surviving in the wild and killing wolves but that's not what the game centers around.

It's also a lot like western RPGs in a bunch of ways but more fun. The map is about the size of MFH.

Gaming nowadays is basically a very serious full time job for kids training to be murderers.

its incredible.

Hard to explain, it brings out those wonderous feelings you had when playing video games as a kid. no other modern games have done this for me in forever

Same reaction. It was the first time in forever that I was so eager to keep playing and exploring. Made me feel like a kid again too.
