Should I buy a low cost bidet attachment for toilet?

Short answer...Yes.
Longer answer...they make toilet seats that you have to plug in (so you'll need a socket free) that basically have all the functions of the Japanese super toilets...bidet feature, but also air dry and heated seats. Total 180. Like 300 bucks, compared to thousands for the full Jap super toilets.
Finally, another choice is getting a strong spray movable shower head and doing it in the shower when needed.
But yeah, start cleaning your ass with water. 180 life improvement.

I use these in Saudi and it's great. However, if you're buying one and attaching it in the states, be aware that it uses a T valve for the toilet's water hose and you really should be adjusting that T valve on and off (to supply water to bidet hose also) every single time you use it, which is pretty stupid and inconvenient if you ask me. The Japanese seat mentioned above is the same way unfortunately. You really can't mess up anything on that valve or it will annihilate your bathroom with water.
A safer option is a bidet bottle - search on Amazon. They come with a long neck attachment, but the one I got in Saudi has a short nozzle built right into the cap. You need to refill for each wash session but it's not a major inconvenience. I like it.
One quibble is that the bottle doesn't have a strong stream like the hose, but if you do one wash, then wipe, then wash a bit again, it's fine. You still should wipe anyway even when using the hose, though there is almost zero residue after the wash.
