If you have, what strategies have you employed to make safe bets?

The market is very volatile and prone to manipulation, and a flash temporary swing could completely wipe out your account. Normal equities see flash crashes once in a blue moon, and a 10% swing is considered huge, yet short selling and margin trading are considered risky. Crypto has 10% daily swings multiple times per week, and has seen 30%+ daily swings perhaps once or twice a month on average. Even if you're right more often than not, there's a good chance your account gets blown the fuck up. If a trade moves against you rapidly, you likely won't be able to hodl through it without kicking in more extra money than you're comfortable with.
