I made the crypto board to foster open discussion, and you used it to try to move discussion away from XO because you were butthurt. Not cool, and I'm not going to allow it. Unless that's what the community wants.

I've made an appeal to the existing group to allow trustworthy people into it. But the reason they're being selective is because of this kind of petty, spiteful behavior.

I don't know what their function is, maybe you have more knowledge of that. I created an open thread to talk about crypto discussion because it wasn't happening on the board. The message I got from a critical mass of poasters was that we needed a new forum that wasn't spammed 24/7 and had a format that was more fruitful for crypto discussion. I created a group that is open to ANYONE (I even invited you). the idea behind the group is to get the most out of our resources which were laid to waste here. there was a clear gap between people who wanted to talk and strategize crypto and the current model of 1. secretive groups which include 5% of crypto poasters, and 2. a seemingly unmoderated board of personal spam abuse.

rachmiel - you created a crypto bort which i was always supportive of and it didn't work. it was spammed 24/7. if anyone tried to have ANY crypto discussion it was spammed. not only did you not discourage such behavior YOU JOINED IN. i'm not sure how you envision "not allowing" discussion off board, especially as it is exactly what all the cryptopoasters wanted in our open discussion and exactly what poasters have encouraged me to do offline. seems like YOU are butthurt. why haven't you joined us?

truly ironic that you would call ME petty and spiteful. i opened up discussion about crypto discussion to everyone, explicitly talked about my desire not to undermine the other group and its goals (whatever they may be), gave the other group time to respond (they didn't), and then created a new group that would take steps to promote real crypto discussion - to get the best out of our board resources that were currently underutilized. I made it clear that the group i created was never about me and not a place for personal beef. I've invited everyone - EVEN THOSE THAT EXCLUDED ME from the other group. i created it with the best intentions and always put the discussion before myself and petty board beef.

Seemed like that just wasn't happening over the past month.

I came to find out about the secret slack, and it seemed like the main reason why there wasn't much crypto discussion here anymore. So I appreciated Peterman's new group. Seemed to be inclusive as opposed to the exclusivity of the first group.

So my strong preference is for crypto discussion to remain here, but since it looks like that will not happen, I am appreciative of Peterman's efforts.
