their argument would be that all but one or two pictures from space have been doctored or spliced (which i think might be true?)
and which first hand accounts are you referring to?
fwiw a lot of people who argue flat earth theories do it to get a rise out of people, but i think many do it to point out that you haven't actually done any of the research yourself and are trusting scientists without question
edit: and they also argue that the lens of your eyes and camera lenses distort, so it's hard to know what anything looks like without distortion
