Each painting has 7 stars in it, 6 contained somewhere in the level and 1 from collecting 100 coins. |

But you'll get the hang of it. |

after that, get good at long jumps (running forward plus crouch and jump inputs). they help you move quickly once you get a rhythm and a lot of later levels require them to cross certain gaps. |

You only need 70 stars to beat the game I believe. |
