50 good paying clients is better than 150 poors, and realistically, at best you are doing 1 DV case per week. You don't really want to be doing that at $1,500 a pop because the timeline is consolidated and it's at least 2 days worth of work between preparation and a day in court.

Bro, I was so good at defending these things I wouldn't prepare. I would just have some bullet points jotted down for my directs and crosses and then freestyle/improvise everything.

I actually won three DV trials in one day. Two trials in the morning (different courtrooms, same courthouse) and one in the afternoon. My boss said that's probably never been done before. I purposely kept them all calendared like that just so I could pull it off.

DV trials are my fav too. The best is when it's a n00b on the other side and he goes through his whole shtick and you get it dismissed without having to do cross or put your client on the stand.

But in the one case the petitioner was representing herself. For my opening I said, "Your Honor, my client's mother, the paternal grandmother, was raising this baby in Tennessee, and right before Tennessee acquired jurisdiction at the 6 month mark, Petitioner drove to TN, called the police, took the baby, drove back to San Diego and filed this DVTRO."

Judge looks at Petitioner and asks her what she has to say. She goes, "If you grant this DVRO, cool, but if you don't, that's cool, too."

Judge looks at me and I go, "Do I even have to put my client on the stand, your Honor?"

"No, case dismissed."

I PRAYED extensively to JESUS CHRIST on this matter, and i have meditated to listen to his reply. My resulting conviction is that i've been targeted by a LEGAL LOOPHOLE that encourages recipients of green card petitions to FRAUDULENTLY allege domestic violence.

Not many victims of this fraud have the resources to push judicial discoveries and litigations. So they accept this fraud, and hence encourage this FRAUD to continue.

I do have the resources. I don't have much attachment to my bank account. I've 100% convinced that GOD wants me to scorch the earth in this legal matter.
