Brother story sounds fishy as hell. Teenager originally put the gun between the younger brother's legs and claimed he did it himself. Why on earth would you do that?
Sounds like they did do a recall but few people had their guns fixed. Is 1 in 4 a poor result for consumer products?

I have no horse in this race bro. Not even a gun owner.
If I owned a gun I'd be really fucking careful not to point it at people. Defective trigger or not, you get startled or bumped or grab the wrong spot and you could kill someone. So I don't think it's a major safety hazard when someone already doing something 90% dangerous and retarded gets pushed over the edge to 100% dangerous by a defect.
Like I asked, what's a typical recall rate for consumer products? There are heaters that leak carbon monoxide, electrical products with poor insulation, dangerous toys that can choke kids. Those all kill people through zero fault of their own, and I bet 75% of those don't go back to the shop either. So how is this gun thing any worse?
