I get it. If you want to buy it and keep it for 15 years, then the LC makes a lot more sense. Most people don't do that, and most people won't use 99% of what a LC is capable of. To that end, if I'm going to actually spend serious time in rough terrain, I'm not spending $85-100k on a LC. Like I said above, 4Runners, especially shit like the TRD-Pro are capable as all fuck, have crawl modes, etc, and you don't have to worry about them getting banged up.

LC vs 4Runner is a reasonable point of argument. Depends on your need for greater size, luxury, etc.

LC vs RR is fairly laughable because RRs are unreliable POSs.

Per the trip computer in my car I averaged a speed of 13 MPH this week so I totally need an 85k car to sit in bumper to bumper on the Belt Parkway. On the bright side driving stick here is super easy since you will never have to switch gears once with speeds like that.
