I prefer the armpit placement though because I don't like scars on breasts.

Placement depends on the woman herself. A woman with little breast tissue needs to go under the muscle unless she wants a really obvious implant look.

I have never quite understood smooth vs. textured.

I prefer tear-drop to round.

Silicone implants look better but they carry health risks. They were taken off of the market for like a decade because they can fuck you up if your implant ruptures.
