- Move from CA back to Midwestern homestate, send kid to uber elite grade/high school and enjoy being able to live in the upper tier of what passes for society there.

- If not for the issue of kid / school, I own land in Taos and would be happy building out a compound there. Only issue is water, definitely would need a septic tank and pretty sure would have to drill for well. Never had any geo-survey of the land so no idea really. I'd also be find just buying land elsewhere in the state that still has access to municipal water. Would definitely do solar + Tesla batteries + gray water recovery to grow some food.

- Internationally, NZ seems to be a popular choice and I know a wealthy ex-pat who has invited me and my family to come visit to check it out. He said my age is perfect (early 40's) and my skillset is something that their immigration will allow in super easily.
