1. Items sold through third parties but fulfilled by Amazon are often "non-returnable." If you see this, immediately get on chat and bitch at the customer service rep that you WANT to return the item but they are telling you it's non-returnable. They will immediately offer to refund your money, no questions asked, and tell you to keep or donate the item. I think they just write this off to the underlying supplier so they don't care.

2. Items sold by third-party sellers for Amazon Marketplace--inspect them for even minor or trivial defects upon arrival. If necessary cause your own defects i.e. small tears or discolorations, shit you can just fix or get rid of later. Bitch at the seller through direct messaging. Seller will try to make amends and get you to return the item--tell them no but you are willing to keep the item despite the defect if they return 20-30% of your purchase price. They always will jump at this because it's all about volume for them and keeping their feedback up to remain in Marketplace. Occasionally you will get a recalcitrant chink--and they are all Chinese scammers selling you shit products anyway, so do NOT feel bad for pulling their hair--who refuses to budge. Immediately file an AMZN A-to-Z guarantee complaint and they will shit their pants and totally refund the money. A to Z complaints are the kiss of death for Marketplace sellers and they will do anything to avoid or resolve one.

3. If you get minor shit items like cables, things in boxes, etc. from Amazon, especially if it is a replacement item for one of yours, get the new item and repackage your old or broken items in the same box and return it for full refund. AMZN always refunds the items immediately when you drop off the package with prepaid label at USPS or UPS. The idea that these bozos are actually QCing the returns and opening them up to make sure they all work and are the same item is laughable, especially as they are giving you your $ back before they even have the item. I have yet to try sending back a completely different item or just a box with a rock in it or something but I'm sure they wouldn't notice the difference. If they did, just feign ignorance/confusion and it will all work out.

Order a few basic items and then wait a few weeks/months, that way they won't flag your account. Then place an order for an expensive item (Macbook, DSLR, etc.). When you receive it call customer support and let them know that you received a box full of rocks. Keep the item for free!
