Wife Leaving Me

Wife told me last night that she felt like she didn't even want to be alive anymore while I was at work and I called her brother to get him to talk to her until I could make it home. I told her I didn't say that she was talking about not wanting to be alive and today she talked to her brother and it came out that I had told him that. She has major untreated postpartum depression and bipolar disorder.
She told me that she is going to falsely accuse me of sexual abuse and battery and is flying to Texas to go to a battered women's shelter. She wants me to grant permission for her to take my daughter with her.
I am freaking out and need advice. This is not flame. I wish it was.

I have a friend with a wife who went crazy (not quite this crazy, but still very crazy) and was on the verge of leaving. When she confronted him with this he just called up all her close family and friends and explained what she was doing and they all turned against her. She got super depressed and needed strong ass meds for like two years to not be a puddle, but after that she went back to relatively normal (albeit 40 lbs heavier). I felt/feel so bad for the guy because he has to think she could snap at any moment to this day, but their two kids were preschool age and he also couldn't bear the thought of them being alone with her all the time. And it will only get worse when the kids are teenagers and her genes and unstable behavior have infected their brains. She was totally normal (I think she may have had a lexapro script for anxiety but 1) who doesn't and 2) she was very high functioning and stable) until her PPD after her second kid when she went off her meds and then just stayed nuts.
PS I'm still 80% sure OP is a master Johnsmeyer level flame artist. It's flame so good it would be wrong to not play along. |

That means you have to supervised visits with your kids until then (usually a six month process to rebut the presumption at minimum).
That equates to about 4 hours of supervised visits a week or 5% custody.
That means you are paying child support to a mother who has 95% custody, plus spousal support.
Oh, let's not forget spousal support. The computer spits out a number for the judge, but if there is DV, the judge can go *higher* than what the computer recommends.
It is a total fucking racket. |

So she finds evidence he's cheating so she hides behind the front door and attacks him when he comes in. Battery.
She then starts screaming, punching him so he calls the police.
She lies and says he hit her, but the cops don't believe her and take her to jail.
She bails out the next morning and files a restraining order completely reversing the facts. Gets him kicked out and he can't see his newborn baby for literally months.
I cross filed a DVTRO against her. She wound up hiring two lawyers who tried intimidating me into dropping our DVTRO against her. LOL. They didn't know who they were talking to.
That dude was lucky he found me. Otherwise, he would have been fucked. I made the cross-DV into an art form. |

You start off your lead paragraph with: "I need a restraining order to protect myself and my daughter from my wife who has threatened to falsely accuse me of sexual abusing our daughter to take her to Texas. She is suffering from post partem syndrome, she is mentally ill, her behavior is erratic and getting worse. I fear for my safety as well as my daughter's."
Then you create sub-headings.
"Introduction"
"My Wife Has Post Partum"
"My Wife Threatens to Make False Allegations Against Me"
You add in any stories of her physically attacking you, disturbing your sleep/peace.

It was fucking heartbreaking.
She admitted that she was not physically abused by me and I have texts from her contradicting this statement. I recorded other things that might be useful and have begun documenting her behavior in detail in case I need it in the future.
She agreed her behavior has been unacceptable and is back on medications and going to see a therapist. I really hope she stabilizes and gets back to her old self. With our four-month old daughter in the picture, I don't want to end the relationship yet. The chances of us divorcing and my daughter growing up to be psychologically well adjusted are not good. I am worried about my wife completely disintegrating mentally if she becomes a single mom.
Ultimately I just feel immense sadness right now. This is awful. I am not hopeful that everything will be all right and she is going to magically change. I am pretty sure where this is headed and it is no place good. At least if things remain bad I will be be in a better position to defend myself.
