Yes and no. Happy to see SALT removed. Stop subsidizing shitlib state programs and see how they like their spending then. Taxing tuition credits is 120. Not looking forward to our STEM system, which is the best in the world, go down the tubes as all the smart people start getting their PhDs in Europe bc an American PhD is unaffordable.
I personally think estate tax should be very high. Kids shouldn't inherit that kind of wealth. They didn't earn it.

no AMT and no SALT = 180
taxing education credits is dumb but I like the idea of universiTTTies getting pwned
I will keep a lot of my oil and gas and investment real estate deductions so that's also 180

Fucking loathe it.
FIFO is an under-discussed abortion of a provision. As is estate repeal while retaining the step-up on det.
Pass through is utter nonsense that will line tax practitioners pockets.
SALT and home mortgage repeal is targeted at blue states but hits many conservatives stuck in those states.
Couple those with the fact that retirement savings incentives were ever even on the table, and you can see the bill for what it really is. Yet another naked cash grab by the boomers. JCT should really give us an intergenerational distribution analysis to go with their one by income
