brazil sci fi movie - couldnt finish

Date: November 18th, 2017 6:30 PM Author: Provocative ticket booth i noticed a few things but had forgotten some. the steam pipes running through peoples private dwelling was cool, the state had imposed itself on the private domicile. eminent domain powers in your living room. the swat team that breaks in is well practiced, well geared. the team that comes to cover up the manhole after the raid, inept and ill equipped. the obvious jabs at bureaucracy. there is good stuff there.
here is the problem. movie seemed almost quaint. our hell does not take on a gruesome aesthetic. it has slick interfaces and flashy ads. it is a sort of mental prison, enforced only by force when all other measures fail. it actively attempts to remap our minds, effacing our sense of self, turning humans into npcs. it is a beautiful woman with a rotten soul. |
