The net effect is I can function normally - no manic episodes, can relate to people - but it's a simulacrum built of modules that resemble, but don't perfectly map to, the normal mode of functioning. The product of generations of breeding borderline-or-similar females (wreckers, jades) with aspie males (maintainers - chemistry professors and the like). To illustrate, I'm one of many siblings, and the only one who can even barely maintain bourgeois respectability.
What is more, I've an odd early history - as a child raised by the synopticon, with little to do but spin odd theories, castles in air many of which I little-remember unless the subject is raised; marked by a boyhood vow to always accept any train of thought however evil or unsettling - and later life pocked by random tragedy unusual for one of my SES. |
