the fact that suppressors are even regulated as firearms is crap. they don't make guns silent and most of the sound you hear is from the mini sonic boom anyway. their biggest benefit is they cause less damage to your hearing and make guns more enjoyable to shoot. there was a GOP bill to legalize these that Trump was supposed to sign but I have no idea what happened to it.

gunmo here but i don't understand the point of owning an SBR in a pistol caliber. i suppose they can be fun to shoot but you can only buy so many guns assuming your budget is not unlimited and this wouldn't be in my top ten. if i were to go this route id rather get an uzi but that has more to do with me being a fan of IWI products. but glad you got the gun you wanted. how much of a pain was the tax stamp BS?

you can't compare this gun to an AR rifle. OP's gun is a 9mm pistol with a stock on it. An AR rifle shoots 5.56 See here for how different those two rounds are:

https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Twl26PG-xdg/VxBr0YCuHPI/AAAAAAAADVY/SWPYgNisLyEa3O5H6RX2SS5cj49xNZR0gCLcB/s1600/22lr-9mm-556.jpg

A 9mm weighs around 124 grains and travels 1,125 feet per second. A 5.56 AR round weighs less than half that and travels almost 3x as fast.

Not really. The answer to your analogy is that the jet ski is used on water and the car on land. I’m asking where this gun would be more practical over an AR. I guess home defense in some situations makes sense.

Just cop an M&P or Colt for your first, or even a Palmetto Armory

I would go ahead and get a model that already has the rail shit and buttstock that you like

It's a ((pistol)) that was designed as an SBR in the configuration hat I now have, but they couldn't sell it to consumers because it would be an SBR

You literally have to shoot it with two hands in ((pistol)) configuration.

Even ripoff MP5SDs go from $4k-8k

Example http://www.gunbroker.com/item/717976281

I got my Scorpion for about $650, then $200 for sbr stamp, then $150 for the folding stock. Reviews of it in the SBR configuration are uniformly great.
