But the OP's question was 'why are whites egalitarian' and I believe the reason is a sort of heightened consciousness and implicit understanding of the points I stated above. It is a dilemma, as we can never hope to assuage the hungers of Africa while also maintaining our lofty material goals at home. Sometimes you have to get your hands dirty to prevent evil from taking hold in your country, but it's your duty as a leader.
Enlightenment individualists/egalitarians by their very nature not only allow preventable evil in their lands, but tolerate it at all costs. |
