https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_A._Wallace

In one lifetime he went from republican businessman to democratic bureaucrat who supported friendship with the Soviet Union over the UK and supporting universal health care, running for president on a third party ticket for the “progressive party” where he toured the South with integrated group of candidates and insisting on nonsegregated crowds, to then going back and supporting Dwight Eisenhower and RICHARD NIXON for president.

How can someone change their views this dramatically both ways in one lifetime?

Dude also was in to some weird religious shit on top of everything else

Nixon didn’t exactly run a progressive campaign against Kennedy. I can half understand Supporting Eisenhower, but Nixon? He was the opposite of the progressive party in every sense of the word

Oh, I was assuming he supported him against Humphrey or McGovern. Yeah 1960 is a bit odd.

"After earning a degree in animal husbandry from Iowa State University, Wallace worked as a farmer and newspaper editor."
