I'm in my 30s and so is my sister and neither live at the house. It's either a case of mistaken identity, random act, or targeted at my parents. I'm definitely concerned about the latter because my mom claimed she found a dead rat on her front doorstep a week ago. I just told he it was probably a cat or possum that did it.
