All I did was point out the conveniently self-serving nature of his bump. A better man would have addressed his extremely contradictory poast made one week prior.

Instead, he flipped out on me and launched into all sorts of personal attacks. Do you think that was warranted in the slightest? Of course not. It was a tactic to deflect, and you should be smarter than to fall for it.

And let's take your question and apply it to him. I've only been very respectful and grateful to him previously. I even tipped him .5 ETH. What did that mean to him? I'm all about intellectual honesty. So I don't view linking to someone's own words - which were VERY telling in the context I linked - to be "harming" them unprovoked. In fact, on occasion people link me to something contradictory I said in the past. And it's usually months back, not a week.

And I ALWAYS face it head on. Usually the contradiction is able to be explained, but sometimes I admit I was just wrong. Facing apparently contradictory advice or predictions that you have given are just part of being an intellectually honest person. You always want to ensure that you are a reliable source. A sputtering unhinged reaction like Exeunt's, solely designed to smear and deflect, is unthinkable.

So, why did I link his poast which was only one week old? First, I'll debunk the motive you are incorrectly ascribing to me. You seem to think I did it because I was bitter about being excluded from the crypto slack. Wrong. There's only one person I hold 100% responsible and that's short quotemo. I specifically don't hold Exeunt responsible because (1) he's the way I found out about the secret slack, based on what he said in a thread and (2) Exeunt told someone else in that thread he wanted to let them in but could not, because he didn't have permission (only short quotemo has that authority).

You want to know? It's because I had the thread containing his week old poast open in my phone, where it had been for several days. Through happenstance, I closed the window minutes before seeing Exeunt's bump, which made me roll my eyes. So I wanted to see what he'd say, and the timing was oddly convenient. Just because I appreciate someone doesn't mean I'd never call them out on their BS. And his response spoke volumes.

He bumped something he said in July about it being a great time to invest in crypto. He bumped it to bolster his "Magical Asian" reputation regarding him consistently nailing crypto. But just one week prior to the pathetic bump, he was basically calling for a big crash. Just as I was wrong about Bannon, he was objectively incorrect at the time of his pathetic bump.

You are choosing to interpret this post as "predicting a crash".

That isn't in conflict with making a long term prediction about hedge funds and then bumping it when it comes to fruition.

You are choosing to read a contradiction between the posts because, for whatever reason, you want to tear him down. That much is clear. You aren't the batman of intellectual honesty.

I think context is also important. Take your bannon thread. You made that thread for the sole purpose of self-aggrandizement. You felt validated because, at the time you made the thread, a prediction you made turned out to be true. You wanted the world to see how right you were and to acknowledge your prowess as a political analyst. Your prediction unequivocally turned out to be wrong. You had no choice but to sheepishly accept defeat.

I don't buy your tortured interpretation of what he meant. My common sense interpretation was correct (a broad market crash was imminent) and the best evidence of that is his sputtering meltdown. If I didn't strike a nerve by pointing out that glaring contradiction, he obviously would not have flipped out like that.

I think you even agree and don't really buy this latest BS, based on your characterization of my quoting his own words as "harming" him unprovoked. There's obviously no "harm" to someone if you bring up a past poast that isn't in conflict at all, as you belatedly claim.

And lets look at the context. He actually wasn't very helpful or nice in that thread. Someone asked him not to be so cryptic and he just ignored them. All he provided was an (incorrect) conclusion with no supporting reasons. Some insight! Some "altruism!"
