My practice is 100% plaintiff's side contingency work (personal injury). My seven/eight figure cases I bring in heavy hitter trial attorneys (Mike Alder, Nick Rowley, Brian Panish, etc). My split with them is 50/50 on fees and they pay 100% of costs. I have a bunch of seven figure cases and two eight figure cases with that type of arrangement.
It's nearly impossible to make more than 500-600k as a lawyer doing hourly work. The richest lawyers have contingency practices. |

My name is still on the pleadings and I "second chair" the trial. I make sure that all communication still goes through me though to maintain the relationship with the client.
