Pare way the needless things, and spend your energy on stuff that actually makes a difference. Sure, don't focus on extraneous shit and simplify things down to a single theme. But, all of these books take the view that practicing law is an artform must be learned through diligent work and preparation. You must work it so that it appears easy, but it never is.
