Then, consider the ending of Asimov's The Last Question, when some inconceivable supreme intelligence reverses entropy and recreates the universe from scratch. The growth of that universe is identical to this one, so you are born again into the exact same body as before. This could have already happened an infinite number of times, and you would have no way of knowing. |
