After he exited, Variety published a two-month investigation detailing allegations of sexual harassment by Lauer toward multiple women. According to dozens of interviews with former and current NBC News employees, Lauer had a history of inviting colleagues into his office for sexual activity, and he’d use a secret button under his desk that allowed him to lock the door without standing up.
Even though my situation with Matt was consensual, I ultimately felt like a victim because of the power dynamic.
